Position: K3 Educational Assistant, full time
What you will do…
The Educational Assistant (EA) is a critical partner to the lead teacher, assisting in the implementation of Milwaukee College Prep’s curriculum and managing classroom culture. The Educational Assistant will receive daily instructions from the lead teacher; generally, an EA will:
- Provide daily support and instruction with scholars one-on-one or in small groups
- Build strong relationships with parents
- Monitor scholars during breakfast, lunch and recess
- Substitute teach when lead teacher is absent
- Model the excellence we expect from our scholars
What you should have…
- 60 college credits
- Necessary ECE (Early Childhood Education) licensing
- Must obtain Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting Certification annually prior to first day with scholars.
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
- Absolute belief in every child’s ability to succeed and tenacity to ensure that success.
